The use of Croatia as a short name for the Independent State of Croatia is misleading, inaccurate and potentially offensive with respect to the both the socialist republic that followed WW2 and the current state. It should be removed and only the full name should be used.

{{fb|Independent State of Croatia}}, which doesn't work for this template, should be enabled so it can be used for the team's matches in the 1940s, with a link pointing to "Croatia national football team".
