New enough, long enough, and adequately footnoted. But this reminds of the reasons why Billy Hathorn was banned from DYK. I find the structure and wording of the article to be a bit "too close" to the wording of the bio at http://www.arkansashouse.org/member/234/ . For example:
- [Source] He graduated from Jacksonville High School, and he attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has several professional licenses in finance and insurance. Rep. Kerr is a twelve-year recipient of Farmers Insurance President's Council's highest award. A former Pulaski County Quorum Court member, he enjoys watching movies and spending time with his family during free time. He and his wife, Marliese, are Methodist.
- [Article] Kerr graduated from Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville in Pulaski County and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is an award-winning agent with Farmers Insurance. He is a former member of the Pulaski County Quorum Court, akin to the county commission in most other states. He and his wife, the former Marliese Lea Estes (born 1965), are United Methodist.
- Additionally, I am concerned that the statement that he has a "conservative voting record" appears to be original research. Because the only cited source is a collection of data on his votes and sponsorships, with no characterization of the ideological color of the voting record, the reader can only conclude that the "conservative" characterization came from a Wikipedia contributor (that's original research).
- A final concern is with the hook. It could be reasonably interesting if it also indicated what office he was elected to, but the article contains absolutely no hint as to the circumstances of his unopposed election. If we are going to tease readers with interesting facts, the article ought to give them some sort of additional information/explanation about the fact. --Orlady (talk) 18:54, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
I'm not aware this ban has been lifted. Billy Hathorn banned from DYK. This subject came up in June 2013. Hathorn ban? — Maile (talk) 23:52, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
