Yoga Body

  • ... that the preface of the book Yoga Body's Serbian translation was carefully informed and reviewed?

Improved to Good Article status by Chiswick Chap (talk). Nominated by Miraclepine (talk) at 21:48, 1 January 2020 (UTC).

  • @Chiswick Chap and Miraclepine: The hook as proposed sounds quite vague. What does it mean by "translation was carefully informed and reviewed"? It might also be a better idea to also propose a hook on the controversies it resulted in. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:01, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

Yes the hook could be stronger.

ALT2: ... that Yoga Body was attacked by saffronising Hindu nationalists? Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:11, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

@Chiswick Chap: The hook looks good, sorry I'm late. ミラP 01:44, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
Interesting book, well-written GA on excellent sources, no copyvio obvious. Sorry, I am not happy with the hooks. The original says something in the context of the article, but almost nothing without it, and the ALT gives attention to extrem Hindu nationalists, gaining little. You might simmply say what the lead says, that it is a radical break, showing that Western health-oriented focus on asanas is not based on tradition. I can't do that for you, or can't review ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:52, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Thanks Gerda. How about:

ALT3: ... that Yoga Body asserts that worldwide yoga is a radical break from hatha yoga tradition? Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:14, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

I gave it a more standard name. What is "worldwide yoga"? A bit more specific what the break is, perhaps? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:19, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

ALT4: ... that the book Yoga Body asserts that yoga as exercise breaks radically from the spiritual hatha yoga tradition?

OK, try this. Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:34, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
thank you, that's to the point. I added "the book" because otherwise it could be a program, a philosophy ... Should we mention the author? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:53, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
Many thanks. I don't think we need the author really. Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:54, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
