Regent Street Cinema

edit
  • ... that the Regent Street Cinema screened the first pieces of moving footage in the United Kingdom?

  • Approving the main hook and ALT2 (I'll leave it up to the promoter which one to use). My reservation about ALT1 is that the source cited in the article says "For this reason the Regent Street theatre is sometimes claimed to be the "birthplace of British cinema" " implying that it's a subjective statement rather than a universally regarded view. Otherwise, the article meets newness and length requirements, hooks are verified by sources and meet formatting guidelines, no close paraphrasing issues, QPQ done. • ALT3 ... that the Regent Street Cinema, which in 1896 screened the first pieces of moving footage in the United Kingdom, was also the first UK cinema to show an X-rated film? EEng 19:39, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
  • Good suggestion, it works well as a combination and is inside the 200 character limit. The addition of 1896 is verified by the source. January (talk) 19:50, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
That's a great hook. :) Anarchyte (work | talk) 06:23, 12 September 2016 (UTC)
Well, when there's an X-rated film in the mix, naturally the attention of the best hookers will be attracted. EEng 06:26, 12 September 2016 (UTC)
