List of Sailor Moon Crystal episodes edit

Created by Sjones23 (talk). Self nominated at 06:37, 5 July 2014 (UTC).

  • New (mainspaced on the 5th), long enough, neutral, no copyvio found via spot check, no QPQ necessary (welcome to DYK!) ALT2 checks out "more faithful adaptation": more faithful than what, though? Struck main hook and ALT1 for not being hooky enough (straightforward and not particularly interesting), but I think we can do better than ALT2 too. There's nothing else in Reception or something that makes this series standout? Last sentence of first paragraph needs to be cited. Please ping me if I don't respond. czar  08:06, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Hey there. The "more faithful adaptation" I'm referring to is that Crystal is more faithful to the manga than the original anime series. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 16:12, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
Hey! First DYK? My questions are mainly rhetorical—I mean that it could use clarification in the article. Would you have another suggested hook, or do you want to go with ALT2? It isn't particularly catchy so the closer might reject it on those grounds. Perhaps you can add something to that hook about what makes Crystal unique? czar  04:18, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
I have another hook that might be interesting:
ALT3: ...that Sailor Moon Crystal is a reboot of the original Sailor Moon manga series by Naoko Takeuchi?
If not, we can use ALT2. Does this make sense to you? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 19:13, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
ALT2&3 okay. I still don't think they're substantially "hooky", in that they will likely not appeal to anyone who isn't already interested in the original series, but I'm also told my hook standards are high. The sentence that starts with "Directed by Munehisa Sakai" should be rephrased for readability—too many clauses jammed in there. czar  16:25, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came to promote this to prep, but I'm confused by the "This list is incomplete" line, and also by all the copy under each Episode. Was this copy checked for copyvio? Will the list ever be complete? Yoninah (talk) 22:35, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
  • The episode summaries have no copyvios. As a plot summary, the episodes are the primary sources, and there are 26 episodes for the series. I have no problem with "The list is incomplete", but the list will be completed in the fall of 2015. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:37, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
The incomplete list is fine since it's an ongoing series. I attempted to check the descriptions for copyvio, but couldn't get through the Japanese so AGF'd and moved on to the rest of the spot check. czar  05:22, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
