Jeunes filles en serre chaude edit

  • Oh come on now Drmies, you can't expect us to all understand French. Translate the title in the hook, please. Also, you seem to be playing with the quotes. Schinz's article is in French, so you should include the original phrasing in the Wikipedia article (footnote/parentheses), and the New International Year Book needs an ellipses. Otherwise looks pretty decent: just long enough at 1811 characters, certainly new enough, referencing is thorough and to reliable sources. Neutral and whatnot. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:12, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Sheesh Crisco, run out of cupcakes again? So, I didn't use a translated title as the title of our article, since the book was never translated (is that correct? I believe it is--and it contrasts Burnt Offering (Galzy novel)). When I found the "seductive title" note I thought it'd be seductive to not translate the title. Kind of like someone who once ran a DYK whose hook was "?", you know. I'll check the other things you mentioned. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 15:00, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the cover! Drmies (talk) 15:01, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
  • OK, added the French quote. But why ellipses for TIYB? The quote is verbatim. Ha, as for "long enough": I think it's pretty much complete--this is all there is. I'm thinking about writing an (academic) article, "Jeanne Galzy: An Appreciation", for The French Review. Oh, just to make sure, I'm not going to add a translation to the hook: if you feel you much, go ahead. I wish we could run them simultaneously in parallel universes so we can see if it makes a difference. Drmies (talk) 15:35, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
  • I see what you mean with the ellipses--it's the hook. Thanks. I've added the word and will save this to see if the hook isn't too long. Drmies (talk) 15:53, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Oops, looks like I forgot to specify. By my count this hook is about 195 characters, so still short enough. Good to go now, AGF for Jstor source which I cannot access. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 20:43, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
