Good quality article of good length and an interesting subject. Main hook is refed behind a paywall but OK to AGF. I would edit out in "in 1899" as irrelevant to the hook. Alt1 (which I prefer) has an online ref which checks out. I would remove the last nine words as irrelevant to a good hook too. No obvious paraphrasing spotted. This could compete for a place on International Womens Day (It looks as if some may have to wait to appear - but that will be a success for IWM day. Please say if you want to compete or just go to the main page ASAP. Thanks Victuallers (talk) 20:29, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
- Removed extra words per Victuallers' suggestion. The International Women's Day submission sounds interesting, so I'd be happy to wait for that. If so, would it make sense to add "New Woman" to the hook?--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:43, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
