It Is the Law edit

  • ... that moviegoers in 1924 saw Justin Victor get away with murder because It Is the Law?
  • ALT1:... that It Is the Law was the final film directed by J. Gordon Edwards?
  • Reviewed: Fatimid desecration of Jerusalem
  • Comment: It is admittedly debatable whether the first hook "involves the real world in some way" sufficient to satisfy that criterion. On the other hand, it's much punchier. ALT1 is an absolutely real-world alternative, but uninteresting to most readers (who won't be familiar with Edwards).
  • This was submitted as a new-article DYK, but it is now additionally a Good Article. Squeamish Ossifrage (talk) 13:46, 14 October 2015 (UTC)

  • I'm dubious that the moviegoers and the year sufficiently involves the real world, and am proposing a slight alteration that adds another layer of real world info, which I hope doesn't reduce the interest level that much:

No objection here. Squeamish Ossifrage (talk) 16:44, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
  • This article was new enough when nominated and is long enough, and is also now a GA. The double jeopardy part of the hook is covered by inline citations. The other parts of the hook (year, character name and actor) do not have inline citations but are well-enough covered by other sources to be non-contentious. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:37, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
