Ganni

  • ... that Ganni was founded in 2000, as a cashmere brand, but almost 20 years later it resurfaced and gained popularity as a contemporary designer label? Source: Harper's Bazaar

  • I am afraid this is only a 2x expansion. (this was moved, missed it - so data/size are fine). A second problem is the usage of designer label here, which is not supported by anything in text. Finally, as a layman in fashion, I have no idea what a cashmere brand is, this term should be at list hyperlinked in the article, and preferably explained. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:17, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
In simple English, they sold cashmere wool items like scarves and what not; when the new ownership took over they started selling high-end dresses and shoes. The article as it stands doesn’t outright say designer, true (that’s kind of vague), it’s more specific about what type of market of the fashion business it is in because that’s what the sources do. If these were cars, imagine a Lexus rather than a Ferrari. Trillfendi (talk) 04:35, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Because time has passed and maybe this needs an update or prompt, here is a second review, in the hope of moving things on a bit. I have copyedited the article and added wikilinks (without changing content), to clarify the article bearing in mind the questions above. Earwig lists the article's header paragraph as plagiarism, but this is probably a mirror-copy of the Wikipedia article, so no problem. One issue remaining: As mentioned above, the phrase, "designer label" does not appear in the article. Note: when copyediting, I also added an External links section to force a contents box, but of course you are welcome to remove all or some of the External links if you wish; it would not affect the DYK nom. Conclusion: If you can put the "designer label" phrase in the article, together with the Harper's Bazaar citation, this nomination should be good to go.  Done If it was that simple I would’ve done that weeks ago. (But designer label really doesn’t need hyperlinking. If one was to say Nike Inc. was was a brand of athletic apparel no one would hyperlink that either). Trillfendi (talk) 14:53, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
No problem. I guess all that we are all doing is trying to move this nomination forward. Do you agree that all that now needs to be done is to add the phrase "designer label" into the article (to match the hook) and make sure that it is cited? The Harper's Bazaar citation does contain that phrase. Forgive me, I'm just trying to check that we are all on the same page here, and whether you still have other improvements in mind. Thank you, Trillfendi. I enjoyed this article and its citations. It's nice to have a fun article to read, sometimes! Good to go. Storye book (talk) 15:08, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
