Expansion is >5x and was completed within the five-day window. Referencing is of a good standard; the hook is verified by the appropriately named National Register of Big Trees and a book reference. Paraphrasing and quality of prose look fine. I will do some copyediting; I would recommend a bit more linking of technical terms, if this is not contrary to the guidance of WP:PLANTS.
