  • ... that Catherine Kerrison (pictured) has helped re-evaluate the history of Harriet Hemings? Source: "she innovatively adds a discussion of his only enslaved daughter, Harriet Hemings (born 1801)" ([1]) "Harriet's voice is far fainter ... it was often felt her experience and perspective were not worth noting. But what Kerrison discerns is intriguing" ([2])
    • ALT1:... that Catherine Kerrison (pictured) thinks beauty is still important for any woman in the public eye? Source: "Yet in spite of women's advances, beauty is being constituted primarily as female. As any woman in the public eye knows, it's crucial to her acceptance" ([3])

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
Image: Image is freely licensed, used in the article, and clear at 100px.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: No metadata (evidence of permission) on the image on commons. Strongly prefer ALT1 because not everyone will know who Hemings is. Catrìona (talk) 07:15, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

@Catrìona: It says "own work CC-BY-SA 4.0" when I look at File:2018-us-nationalbookfestival-catherine-kerrison.jpg. While some Commons pictures marked as "own work" just plain aren't, I believe Fuzheado's knowledge in this area is sound. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:02, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
Allright, I'll accept that explanation of copyright status. I know of Commons images being deleted for lacking metadata, though. Catrìona (talk) 10:06, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
I got Fuzheado's The Wikipedia Revolution in my Christmas stocking a few years back - always wanted an excuse to say hello to him ;-) Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:14, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the shoutout. I confirm that it is indeed my own work, taken just recently at the National Book Festival in DC. -- Fuzheado | Talk 14:24, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
