Australian contribution to UNTAG edit

Created/expanded by Majormax (talk). Self nom at 12:18, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

  • That wording seems a bit over-complex to me. How about: ... that the Australian contribution to UNTAG in Namibia between 1989 and 1990 was the first major deployment of Australian troops since the Vietnam War? (the article also currently doesn't include a direct reference for this statement) Nick-D (talk) 11:58, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, what about this, directly referenced to Hansard.
... that the Australian contribution to UNTAG in Namibia between 1989 and 1990 was (at the time) the the largest peace-keeping commitment in which this country (Australia) has ever participated?
That wording is pretty confusing to be honest. A good hook should be a simple sentence. Nick-D (talk) 00:52, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
  • That hook works for me (though peacekeeping is one word; I've just tweaked this). Nick-D (talk) 09:37, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks for your help :-)
