  • Comment: A well referenced article, this fact sounds interesting for me.

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: Yes
QPQ: None required.

Overall: Article meets eligibility criteria for DYK (newness, length). The article is well sourced. It was recently promoted to WP:ITNRD after discussion at WP:ITNC, so, will lean in on the sourcing checks done there as well. Copvio check is good. Hook as well as the corresponding source is linked to Jang, a Pakistani newspaper. Unfortunately, the text is in urdu. So, will WP:AGF on the source. Can I request the editor to paste a translation of the source's sentence as a part of the DYK nomination so that it can be captured? Alternately, if there is a different editor who can read Urdu, that would help as well. This is the nominator's first DYQ submission and will not need a qpq. Made a minor edit on the hook -- see if this agreeable.

* ALT1... that 50 books from a total of over 150 books authored by Pakistani historian Abu Salman Shahjahanpuri are about the Indian scholar and independence activist Abul Kalam Azad? Ktin (talk) 07:51, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
  • Ktin, This jang source] says that Abu Salman is an exemplar personality in academic history, who wrote the most books about his subject, Abul Kalam Azad; which count more than 50. The Urdu portion is The second source says that, he wrote more than 150 books. : 150 سے زائد کتابوں کے مصنف ابو سلمان شاہجہان پوری چل بسے - (transl. Author of more than 150 books passes away). I hope it is helpful. Your proposed hook looks fine to me. Since, his total books are more than 150, and the books about Azad are more than 50; I've taken the average, 150 (total) and 50 (about Azad). • TheAafi, Thanks. I think this should be good. For good measure, I have requested an Urdu editor support here. If we do not find someone in a couple of days, I will approve this hook based on your translation. Hope that works. Ktin (talk) 08:12, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
  • Wow, you managed to ping me right as I was about to close my laptop and go to bed! Anyway, yes, the translations look fine to me. Thanks for the ping. M Imtiaz (talk · contribs) 08:22, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
