- Comment: This is not a review, but the assertion that Abbas Ali Baig was the first person ever to be kissed on a cricket field seems unlikely. Are we to believe that for decades, no cricketer received a peck on the cheek from his/her spouse before, during, or after a match? The sentence in your article making the claim that this was the first kiss does not include a citation, and I could not find support for this assertion in the Ramnarayan book. Do you have another source that supports this? If I may instead suggest an alternate hook:
ALT1: ... that Indian cricketer Abbas Ali Baig was once kissed on the cheek in the middle of a match?

- @Notecardforfree: The claim was already covered by a reliable source. Nevertheless, I've included another one from The Economic Times. I personally feel ALT1 isn't really an interesting one because cricketers being kissed on field is not very uncommon these days. —Vensatry (ping) 05:36, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- Well, looks like the sources proved me wrong on that one. As someone who knows almost nothing about the culture of Indian cricket, it seemed like a claim that would be almost impossible to verify, but I certainly understand several decades ago a kiss was considered quite scandalous by some.
