- Creation of the single-season American Negro League, largely from the remains of the disbanded Eastern Colored League, consisting of the following teams:
- Atlantic City Bacharach Giants at Bacharach Park
- Baltimore Black Sox at Maryland Park
- Cuban Stars (East), largely at Dexter Park
- Hilldale Club at Hilldale Park
- New York Lincoln Giants at Catholic Protectory Oval
