Factually incorrect, but well-sourced: "Zanvil"

edit

The article states that Zanvil is "a Hebrew version of Samuel", an assertion which appears in the source cited ([1], page 4). However, this is blatantly wrong: Shemu'el (also spelled Shmuel, etc.) is the only Hebrew version of Samuel, while Zanvil is an Ashkenazi kinnui or shem hol—a "secular" Yiddish name that corresponds to and is usually given alongside its Hebrew counterpart. For a reliable but non-technical source, see [2].

How could this be corrected without engaging in OS?

Thank you for being so civil with this concern. I apologize for this mistake, and lets work to promptly fix it.
Is the simplest solution changing this sentence:
"Zanvil, a Hebrew version of Samuel, was a family name."
to this sentence:
"Zanvil, a Yiddish version of Samuel, was a family name." ?
If so it should be an easy enough change.DaltonCastle (talk) 03:35, 11 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
The suggested wording is excellent, but how would you source it without problems of original synthesis? הסרפד (call me Hasirpad) 16:20, 11 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
I believe since the content in question is not contentious or critical, it will be okay to use the source you provided with the correct origins.DaltonCastle (talk) 00:02, 12 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
