Requested move 5 January 2020 edit

Yummy (Justin Bieber song) - Yummy (song). I know that there are other songs called Yummy on Wikipedia, but the all are titled “Yummy ((the artist’s name) song)”, so I suggest we should change the title of this, or change the title of another page on Wikipedia. CheatCodes4ever (talk) 03:55, 5 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

That's not how it works though. In this case, Yummy (song) needs to be redirected to a disambiguation, which already happened. GhostP. talk 22:32, 15 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Charts table edit

The Charts table is stuck in the “Release History” tab. I can’t work out how to fix it someone please change TaylorUpdates515 (talk) 18:54, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

I tried, it didn’t work. CheatCodes4ever (talk) 21:50, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

CheatCodes4ever, Can we mark this section as resolved? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:47, 27 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Critical reception edit

I believe this should be mixed to negative, not negative since there was a notable amount of reviewers that praised the song despite the negative reception it often faced, though the latter was more frequent but not heavily so it's mixed to negative, not mixed or generally negative --Kyle Peake (talk) 08:01, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

According to Talk:Lover_(Taylor_Swift_song)#Synthesis, "In order to include overall assessments of favorable/mixed/unfavorable reviews from critics, one would need a citation specifically mentioning that. This especially goes for asserting acclaim/getting universally panned. One cannot determine overall reception solely based on what reviews are included within article prose as you seem to believe." "Drawing a synthesis that the song received critical acclaim based on the cited sources can be appropriate and not a case of SYNTH, depending on the quality/number of sources included." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.210.105.94 (talk) 07:11, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Controversy edit

It is better to add the fact that the tactics of this artist are similar to that of some other artists as mentioned in the Forbes article(as I did before) so that the readers get a more unbiased view on this controversy.the current version can give the notion to readers that this artist is the only person to use these tactics. Jennythute678 (talk) 09:57, 1 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why the data you're trying to add is irrelevant to the article/section:

Blackpink, BTS, Swift etc did not post instructions to buy/stream the a song. Their methods are about gaining tickets/have better chances at their respective tour concerts. The author compared Bieber's tactics to these methods. There is so "similarity". Even if it is "similar", I don't see the point of adding such trivial information about other artists in an article about Yummy and Bieber. Bieber's promotion was controversial, and thus, it was included in the article. information about other artists in a Bieber page is not required at all. Your argument has nothing to do with NPOV, but however feels like a measure at trying to "soften" and "overshadow" the point of the section, but adding unnecessary puff, to act as a soothing cream to a wound, which is not the point of the article. BawinV (talk) 11:00, 1 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

typo: there is no* similarity. BawinV (talk) 11:01, 1 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

"author compared Bieber's tactics to these methods. There is no "similarity""-refer the article again, your opinion is unnecessary, the author sees a similarity("Bieber's tactics are hardly new"),I get it that you are a Taylor swift fan(but this doesn't give you a pass to edit another artist's article in a biased way)further your history of edits in this page clearly shows that you are sort of biased(i.e. trying to label that the song received negative reviews despite the song actually recieving mixed reviews etc. & you were attempting to do a similar thing in another similar page related to this artist).you are going off topic, this elaboration isn't an unnecessary puff.Discussing this matter with a biased mind might not be productive Jennythute678 (talk) 02:22, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am aware of the "comment on the content, not the contributor" ethic but in this page your behaviour seems to be biased. Jennythute678 (talk) 02:41, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

you tried to remove the whole controversy section. you cannot talk about bias. and no, I've never been biased 😁Yummy actually received overwhelmingly negative reviews before few positive reviews began to surface, and that's explains it. at the point of time of my edit, Yummy had received mostly negative reviews. So your point doesn't make any sense. Your allegations of me being biased is again irrelevant to what this talk discussion is about. Thank you. BawinV (talk) 08:54, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

but since you wanna discuss the unnecessary out-of-topic stuff, and comment on my contributions, I think I reserve that right too. You're clearly a Justin Bieber fanatic. Let's not pretend like you didn't attempt to fabricate a section on pseudo-controversy on Rare when there wasn't even anything worth to be created a section for. I would be delighted if you examine yourself before trying to accuse other editors. Thank you. BawinV (talk) 08:59, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I wasn't aware about that.apologies for it.I have never tried to remove the whole controversy section & I never deny that Bieber's actions were controversial and i agree that there should be a separate section for what he did.And Ok lets say that I'm a Bieber fan as you say,but it has got nothing to do with Rare, where it received criticism from the cited sources(Sorry but I'm not the editor of those sources for it to be a pseudo-controversy),if you are not sort of (biased) why couldn't you add about it to that article?,why did you "forget" to add that bieber later deleted the post.I am not intending to attack you on any occasion and have never called you completely biased.Of course all your edits are of good faith but try to be more neutral.(Don't hesitate to add a controversial or a favorable "fact" related to any case regarding ANY artist to any page).Thank you Jennythute678 (talk) 14:53, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

lets get back to the topic, given that the editor says "Bieber's tactics are hardly knew" how can you say that the editor sees no similarity? Jennythute678 (talk) 14:57, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
