Fair use rationale for Image:Beach Boys - You Need A Mess of Help To Stand Alone.jpg edit

Image:Beach Boys - You Need A Mess of Help To Stand Alone.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:26, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: not moved. I'm just not getting claims of long-term significance for a song that failed to chart. I just looked it up and listened to it on YouTube for the first time in my life. – wbm1058 (talk) 04:28, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Only a 1.4:1 pageview ratio. — BarrelProof (talk) 02:55, 1 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Support The only other article with the name is You Need a Mess of Help to Stand Alone (album), which was named after the song. The song is linked in dozens more articles than the album. ili (talk) 18:50, 1 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak oppose: There are lots of albums that have the same name as their title track. That doesn't automatically make a song primary, and a pageview ratio of 1.4:1 does not indicate that the topic is "highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, ...—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term". — BarrelProof (talk) 15:55, 4 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
The song is the lead single from a top 40 album by the Beach Boys. The Saint Etienne album is a greatest hits collection that had no chart showing. Saint Etienne must have sold >80 million less records than the Beach Boys. I don't understand why there'd be any question of the song being the primary topic. It's undeniable that the song is far more notable. ili (talk) 21:46, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
