Cause of Death edit

I'm removing the cause of death as heart attack - because that has not yet been determined. The reference says "may have been heart problems," which is too speculatory. What's the matter with waiting until an official announcement? No need to rush anything, and certainly no need to sacrifice accuracy.J 12:59, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Power to End Stroke edit

I added that Ms. King was the first national Ambassador for the American Stroke Assocaition's Power to End Stroke Campaign. Her mother suffered a stroke and Ms. King worked tirelessly and unselfishly to raise stroke awareness among African Americans, prevent stroke and save lives. The American Stroke Association is a division of the American Heart Association. Considering the speculation on the cause of her death I think her involvment with the organizations is important and relevant information. Cmilleraha 18:14, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

References edit

I re-wrote the reference tag because it was putting an error message at the bottom of the "Death" section and not processing any more of the article from that point. Oddity- 09:06, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Martin Luther King as Gay Rights Activist? edit

"King was an ardent activist for gay rights, like her mother Coretta. Martin Luther King, Yolanda's father, also supported equality for gays, albeit more privately, according to Coretta."

There is no reference given for this statement; it is not in the CBS article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.165.117.209 (talk) 18:50, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
