Deletion of contents without reliable sources edit

the-drop.net edit

While this article is about Yasser Al-Habib, It had been used the office of Sheikh Al-Habib in London as source for Some of the contents of the article. So this web site is considered as a primary source. According to Wikipedia:No original research, It isn't allowed. I removed sentences that is referred to it. Some of them are actually invalid.

wtop.com edit

This page is not found. So i removed the sentence that referred to it.Samaneh-davoudi (talk) 09:37, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello @MezzoMezzo:! I explained my reasons to delete some of contents of article at above and i repeat again for you:

  • 1)

Consider this reference (the third reference in the article) that's one page of alqatrah.net. This page is referred to the page which is included one question and answer. The important issue is that the person who answer to the question or the reference of the answer is not clear and the accuracy of answer is dialectical. So this isn't reliable.

  • 2)

Consider this reference (the fourth reference in the article) that's one page of alqatrah.net. This page is included contents that dose not have author or reference and the accuracy of contents is dialectical. So it is not reliable.

  • 3)

The fifth reference is like number 1.

  • 4)

The seventh reference is like number 2.

  • 5)

The 10th reference and the 11th reference is not found.

  • 6)

The last two reference are from "the drop/alqatrah.net" that is for Yasser Al-Habib and like number 2.

According to above explanations, i am sure that statements that have been attributed to these resources, must to be deleted.Samaneh-davoudi (talk) 10:40, 17 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

There is nothing wrong with using the subject's own article as long as it is only used as a source about the subject himself - see WP:SELFSOURCE. Additionally, none of the claims here are disputed - anyone who knows the subject knows that the information in the article is accurate.
As for the references not being found, then one of the opening lines of the WP:LINKROT guide is that we should not delete information cited by a dead link; there are ways to fix that.
Additionally, information apparently cited with Amnesty International USA was deleted along with the source itself.
The end result is that, from the outside looking in, the deletions here appeared wildly inappropriate and without a proper policy-based reasoning. MezzoMezzo (talk) 03:51, 18 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
@MezzoMezzo:, I can't understand your mean by this sentence Additionally, none of the claims here are disputed - anyone who knows the subject knows that the information in the article is accurate. why do we use references at wikipedia? we use of reliable source to show that our contents is accurate.
At Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons you can see this sentence Remove contentious material that is unsourced or poorly sourced!I have faith that the pages of the office of sheikh al-habib is not reliable source at wikipedia. My problem is not that the website is for al-habib and it had been used as source at his article, although i think that the use of primary sources is misused . The main problem is that the pages of sheikh al-habib website do not contain valid data. Some of them are question and answer and there is any information about the person who answers the question.
about dead links, you are right. I must to be careful. Thanks!Samaneh-davoudi (talk) 11:18, 23 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Khoddam Al-Mahdi Organization edit

The lead refers to the Khoddam Al-Mahdi Organization in the present tense but this rs suggests that it "ceased to exist" in 2014.[1]. Tigerboy1966  06:32, 22 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
