I have been unable to establish who actually built Yarnton Junction. Since it opened at the same time as the Witney Railway it could be that company built it. Alternatively as it was on the main line it could have been the OWWR. Both companies are currently listed under "original company" in the info box. Does anyone know? It was built by the West Midland Rly (successor to the OWWR), when the Witney Rly was built; and did not open in 1861 with that branch, but in Summer 1863. See Jenkins, Stanley C. (1985) [1975].
