Yön and other magazines edit

@Egeymi Thanks for the latest changes. I've seen your edit summary. I have no objection. I wanted to share this quote from the given source just in case that you might not seen the whole paragraph because of paywall. Based on your contributions on leftist organizations, I think that you already familiar with what I mean when I say these are the things that makes them distinct.

The difference between Belli’s Turk Solu and the Yön of Avcio**lu was that the latter wished to rely upon the patriotic officers and had himself been a member of the military-appointed 1960 Constituency Assembly, while Belli—having come from the Communist Party of Turkey (historical) and having been outflanked politically by Workers' Party of Turkey (1961) in the early sixties—needed to organize a distinct power base for himself. Hence his stress on independent student militancy as a strategy of opening a path for the radical officers. Students would agitate, officers would strike, and a national junta would take power.

Political party links from Wikipedia added by me.

Thanks and have a nice day. TarantaBabu (talk) 18:34, 3 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
