Stay tuned.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 20:28, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Okay. Sorry for the delay. I'm going to start.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 21:05, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Present Sigma in Appearances.
    • Done
  • " X defeats Sigma, he continues". It would be better to write, "After defeating Sigma, X..".
    • Done
  • "by his dark persona only to be driven by guilt to have him repaired by combining their bodies." Not clear to me.
    • Rewritten
  • "In the first game, Zero suffers from amnesia and believes that his friend X has conquered the world until a scientist named Ciel reveals to him that X is a copy she created." Can you write this passage better? As I understand it, anyways, you should write that this X is false more clearly. For example. "reveals to him that the X in the video game..."
  • Rewritten
  • "He follows Vile and Spark Mandrill through time to the present to stop them from taking Lightanium back to their own time to help Sigma finance his wars against humans". Confusing.
    • Trimmed
  • You have to introduce Frank West.
    • Done.

@Tintor2: That's all for now :).--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 21:47, 14 May 2023 (UTC) @TeenAngels1234: Thanks for the review.Tintor2 (talk) 22:00, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome. Okay, let's go.
  • "Kaji was then". Then seems superfluous/meaningless to me here.
    • Removed
  • "The resulting redesign was so different that the original became known as Zero instead". What does this means?
    • Reworded. The ending design looked more like Zero so it was redone.
  • "One of the main artists from X4 lamented X not having the same "cool" appeal he gave Zero". Is this necessary?
  • "The cover art for the Japanese Sega Saturn version of X4 depicts Zero standing alone in a dark setting;[55] according to Inafune, the omission of X from the cover art was something rarely seen in the games.[45] The "Special Limited Pack" edition of the game included the Ultimate Armor X action figure". Ditto. Not so encyclopedic to me, at least on this article.
    • Removed
  • "The Hyper Mode was originally exclusive to X and Zero, but as this gave them too large of an advantage over other party members, all other characters were later given one Hyper Mode while X and Zero were given two". Source?
    • Removed
  • " "first generation part" of her career, alongside other series such as Yu-Gi-Oh!; she voiced both X and Yugi Mutou in their first appearances and was later replaced". So this is what she meant with "first generation", right? Then i would replace ; with ", since".
    • Done
  • "Morikubo found the role to be challenging as he was debuting as a musician during the release of Mega Man X5, which he also considered a difficult game". I can't get the connection.
    • Removed.
  • "as he recalled X's thoughts". Not clear.
    • Removed
  • "Anyway, as a gamer going all the way back to the NES, it'll be a bit like a dream world having this great variety of characters joining in". This part of the quote sounds superfluous to me.
    • Removed
  • "he was shocked by the quality of the talent behind the game, as X was now accompanied by several characters". Ditto.
    • Removed

@Tintor2: That's all.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 22:23, 14 May 2023 (UTC) @TeenAngels1234: Revised everything from creation.Tintor2 (talk) 23:11, 14 May 2023 (UTC) GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)Reply

"The resulting redesign was so different that the original became known as Zero instead."
I'm not a Mega Man expert by any means, but when I was copy-editing this article, I took this sentence to mean that their original intent was to introduce a new design for Mega Man in the X series, but once the design was completed, they found that it looked so different that they couldn't use it for Mega Man and needed to call it something different (in this case, "X"). So since this newly designed character wasn't Mega Man, they just used the old design for Mega Man, calling him Zero (which, to me, seems meant to indicate something like "version zero" to contrast with X, who is a copy).
My point is that the reworded version of this sentence definitely changed that meaning, so we should make sure we have the right meaning there. — Garrett W. { } 06:35, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
    • @Garrettw87: Hard to explain it well so that's why I added that early concept art. Both X and Zero were inspired by the original Mega Man but since Inafune's take was becoming way too different, they made it again. X and other Mega Man inspired characters like Mega Man Volnutt and Mega Man Exe were also inspired by the original Mega Man while Zero ended up being too different from the blue bomber.Tintor2 (talk) 18:51, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ah, so Zero was the different one after all? Good to know. — Garrett W. { } 23:55, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
