What about non-WoW playing readers?

This article is FULL of content which would be confusing to non-WoW players. Not everyone reading this knows all about pre-WotLK WoW already. In fact, I'd bet most people don't; not that it matters, seeing as this article should meet WP:MTAA regardless, which it currently does not. What are the 'Alliance' and the 'Horde'? Who are the 'Forsaken'? What are 'Furbolgs'? What are 'talent points'? What are 'spirit beasts'? Pretend I'm reading this and I have never heard of World of Warcraft before. How much would I actually learn from this article as it is right now? Not a whole lot. GSMR (talk) 16:46, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

One: Obviously poor article is obviously poor (though I'll note that Philcha is working through the RTSes, and may even come to visit WoW).

Two: This article is an expansion a la WP:SS to World of Warcraft and even Gameplay of World of Warcraft. You needThe reader in question needs to read those first, else we end up with duplication of content, and a whole other slew of nasty side effects of having the basics in this article. Aside from that, I've added a link to Gameplay of WoW. There are likely other changes that were made to the gameplay in WotLK, but that at least now should suffice. --Izno (talk) 17:03, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Reception section still lackluster

Compared to the previous expansion (The Burning Crusade), the reception section of this article remains very short, even this long after release. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could bring it up to the standards of the linked article. --85.81.86.44 (talk) 15:05, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Pending changes
