Plot structure edit

This is mainly for the warring IP, but what do you hope to achieve out of reorganizing the plot in the way you intend? Other editors can chime in with their thoughts as well. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 21:35, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Its better then the old one, so why do you revert it?86.187.160.51 (talk) 21:38, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think the IP User has clearly shown themselves to be disruptive. I would support them being blocked, since they clearly refuse to listen to reason in getting consensus. Besides, a game's plot shouldn't be too detailed. GUtt01 (talk) 21:40, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

@GUtt01: Thanks for the efforts. We're at 739 words, but we can let that slide. It's better than the 950+ from earlier. -- ferret (talk) 22:33, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Gutting is the worst thing to do as destroys any plot section. It needs to be put back in. No wants who will coming to for this page or any wants to see plot details and such removed as that is one of the main things they will look for. This is not a science article simplicity is not what people will look for its info and details.86.187.161.75 (talk) 00:07, 14 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

I've blocked the IP for block evasion, but replying for later: Wikipedia has guidelines and policies for a reason. If you want super detailed plots and guidelines, that is better suited for sites like Wikia and Gamepedia. On Wikipedia, the goal is to keep plots concise and to the point, with a general limit of 700 words. This is hardly something being applied only here, and is the case with almost every film and game article. We are constantly working towards this goal. -- ferret (talk) 00:14, 14 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Clean up edit

@GUtt01: I'm done with my basic rearrangements and trimming to meet the usual guide lines. Feel free to tweak further or add back any details you feel I cut too deep on. There's still a little bit of gamecrufty-ness, and mostly unsourced, but I think we can find sources for what remains. -- ferret (talk) 16:07, 14 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
