Center/Centre edit

If the building(s) in London, England is/are "better known" as the "World Trade Centre" (unlike in the 9/11 attacks in the US) shouldn't the main page be changed to "World Trade Centre (London)"? 216.179.123.118 (talk) 14:02, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

see Talk:List of world trade centers, was the damaged building ever known as the World Trade Centre or is it just the new building proposed for the site? —Snigbrook 01:30, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

According to Emporis, the original building was the World Trade Centre, and the proposed redevelopment using the frame of the bomb-damaged old building to make three new offices was to be known as World Trade Centre London. Then 9/11 happened and they scrapped the idea of WTCL, with the WTC being reclad to become Hilton London Canary Wharf. They were also going to build two new office buildings, WTCL Four on the site of the destroyed South Quay Plaza Phase One (which after 9/11 changed to the residential Discovery Dock East) and WTCL Five (now Four and Five South Quay Square).82.20.52.30 (talk) 09:15, 2 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
