This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... it is a signficant literary organization of national importance. Yes, this needs to be documented better using references, but it is an important organization on par with the Poetry Project in New York or San Francisco's City Lights Bookstore. Is the nominator familiar with the world of nonprofits or literary/poetry organizations? Leading writers such as Walter Mosley, Laurie Anderson, Allen Ginsberg, and Anne Waldman have performed at Woodland Pattern and lauded its importance to the literary scene. Please give us a little time to bolster the references and develop the article further. --Jgmikulay (talk) 02:56, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I just added a bit more information with references. The organization has been the subject of significant articles in major newspapers like the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as well as local weeklies and web publications like OnMilwaukee.com, Shepherd Express and Third Coast Digest. I hope these additions will establish its notability per Wikipedia's guidelines. --Jgmikulay (talk) 03:40, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

It seems that CSD A7 does not apply in this case and the article doesn't meet the criteria for speedy deletion as this is an institution of significant cultural importance with impressive longevity of over 30 years. The claim of significance or importance is indeed credible. However, the article is a stub and could certainly be expanded with a reasonable amount of time.--Marctasman (talk) 04:45, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
