This should not be a redirect to a single article

edit

Wledig is a title applied to several figures from ca. Fifth Century Britain and restoring the page as a redirect solely to Cunedda is very misleading and unhelpful. I'm not going to get into a revision battle, but maybe someone invested enough to have created a Wikipedia account will take note and restore my revision which was entirely accurate and much more informative than the redirect despite the fact that I am an anonymous editor.

I mean seriously, if you're going to only redirect "wledig" to a single article, why Cunedda? Why not Magnus Maximus, aka Macsen Wledig, who was not only the sole undisputed historical figure commonly associated with the title, but also a usurper who was briefly recognized as a co-Emperor of Rome? What good are you serving people looking for factual information by restoring the redirect to the article on Cunedda? 24.17.40.164 (talk) 09:50, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Just responding to myself to add that I would have flagged the redirect for deletion, but after looking at the process for that it seemed way too cumbersome to bother with so I edited it because it was easier. I actually agree that this doesn't meet WP:GNG at all and should just go away. 24.17.40.164 (talk) 09:54, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
