Rafferty

edit

The article does not define who the songwriter "Rafferty" is. Varlaam (talk) 02:11, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Is the co-writer (with Graham Nash) of "Take the Money and Run" from Crosby & Nash's Wind on the Water, Gerry Rafferty? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 19:24, 5 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ambiguity needs resolution

edit

From the article:

As on their debut album, most of the instrumental backing was provided by the group of session musicians known as The Section. This quartet consisting of keyboardist Craig Doerge, guitarist Danny Kortchmar, bassist Leland Sklar, and drummer Russell Kunkel, along with multi-instrumentalist David Lindley and bassist Tim Drummond, would be dubbed by Crosby as 'The Mighty Jitters' and provide support for the duo both on stage and in the studio for the remainder of the decade.

In the above, does 'The Mighty Jitters' refer to:

  1. All of the aforementioned individuals (i.e., The Section)?
  2. Both "multi-instrumentalist David Lindley and bassist Tim Drummond", whose names are not separated by an Oxford comma, and therefore may be construed as a unit?
  3. Only Tim Drummond, the last-named individual?

The first case seems most likely, but all three cases are grammatically valid.

A rewrite for disambiguation would be helpful.
