It might be only a B-Class article on the quality scale here, but there is not much more one can do about this. The article represents about all the information that can be gleaned from a few books opened on one's table, and even more.

There are certainly a few more morsels out there; one eventually also would want to know a little bit about his private life, etc. He had a football playing son - with a Hamburg girl/woman? However: the subject matter does not warrant any primary source research connected with any type of extraneous effort and cost.

There are many more questions - and maybe it is good, if a bit of a mystery will remain forever.

However, The Guardian / [[1]] has made mention of especially this article, albeit, they did not quite get it right. Townley was only responsible for two of the three Fürth championships., not all of them.

Anyway, as originator of the article who has invested quite considerable time and effort on the research for this article I feel a certain satisfaction.
