World Trade Center edit
At IMDb, Michael Shannon is listed as playing Dave Karnes, Mapother as Thomas. William sent pictures of himself playing Sgt. Thomas to williammapotheronline.com (now defunct) and commented on how the real Jason Thomas came forward later. Law & Order: Criminal Intent edit
William Mapother had top guest billing in a Jeff Goldblum episode of the series, but I only see Special Victims Unit in the franchise under his filmography; when was the Criminal Intent episode first air? Jeff's character even mentions to his partner of a picture in a yearbook from some years back that he "looks like a young Tom Cruise."
