He does have a bit over 500 Google hits, but is he really worth an article? Rory096 03:48, 31 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Script kiddie? He discovered his own exploits and wrote his own tools. -P3on 16:51, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

No, he didn't discover anything. He couldn't write a basic buffer overflow to save his life. Just another trojan/script kid. Definitely not worth an article imo. -S 23:50, 11 June 2006

You guys even look at his site? He is definitley not a Script kiddie --HockeyInJune 01:48, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Allegations of being a script kiddie

edit

It is argued that he is a script kiddie, however the definition of a script kiddie is a derogatory term used for someone who uses the tools of others. As the most vocal leader of a group known as illmob, who has also written a number of security related tools he has demonstrated knowledge in both high-level programming and low-level assembly. Referance http://www.illmob.org/files.html Illmob Files for a list of tools written by illwill and illmob members. Regardless of skill level, he is worthy of a wikipedia entry simply for being notable within the hacker community, particularily among blackhats. Sirukin

Script kiddie

edit

A script kiddie more than simply one who "uses the tools of others". Everyone uses the tools of others, its nearly impossible not to. Even if someone writes software, are they not using lower level code and programming interfaces developed by others? More importantly, a script kiddie is unskilled. The term is considered derogatory because people do not enjoy being labeled as such, whether it is fact or not. The tools "illwill" has written are basic and unsophisticated in nature (i.e. win32 remote administration trojan [sub7/netbus type] related applications, usermode keyloggers, fake login boxes). These are tools are mostly used by unskilled script kiddies. Just because he develops these tools rather than only using them does not indicate that he is beyond script kiddie level. But perhaps it indicates that he is not advanced enough to develop more sophisticated software. Nevertheless, he develops and uses script kiddie software and should be classified as such. This is the bottom line.

EXAMPLES
