This biography was created as a request by the WikiPortal Golf. It may be a stub but it´s a start. Pictures hav been requested. There is a link to pictures in the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. Perhaps they will be willing to donate one picture to the Wikipedia.
It is not encouraging to research and write articles that may be deleted or are not properly scrutinised. Maybe it is an idea to prevent the current backlog by examining the requests in the portals as there seem to be a lot of requests which are subsequently deleted. Making it a waste of my time (of which I have precious little) to write these articles.

Yes, there are many sources, [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. It isn't that clear to me either to be honest, but Homeniuk does seem to be consistent with other similar names, such as Panasiuk, Hnatiuk, etc. Less than helpfully, there are many sources that spell it both ways in the same article! e.g. [6], [7], and this one even mentions two of the brothers and spells their last name differently [8]. At his present place of employment, Oakdale G&CC, he is listed as "Homenuik".[9] I could find no article talking about a name change, as you found with Bob Panasik. The more common spelling of the surname (in general, not specific to Wilf) seems to be "Homeniuk", but that doesn't mean that he spells it that way. And his brothers may spell their names differently. I also found it spelled "ui" in his marriage and divorce records in Florida (ancestry.com, subscription required). Given the link cited earlier and the Canadian Golf HoF spellings, my suggestion would be to revert the move and the text changes to the article and add a note about the alternate spelling. Yes, feel free to revert – I'm happy to go with the Florida legal records. I did lots of researching before changing but did not have access to those details. I believe Homeniuk is how it is spelled in Ukranian [10], and most likely how his family name would have spelled their name at some point in time, but that may well have now evolved to Homenuik. Either way, you are right in saying a note should be added relating to the uncertainty over the spelling. wjematherbigissue 19:27, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
