An FYI to anyone considering getting a color photo for this article — visiting this location is apparently very difficult. Yesterday I attempted to go to the site, and I found that there's a gate with security at the entrance to the Institute; I explained why I was coming, and I was informed that I wouldn't be permitted to enter. - The NPS suggests (in its undated travel itinerary) that calling the Lincoln Foundation might yield access. I imaging calling the US DOL Jobs Corps facility might also yield fruit. I mean, this is supposedly a museum, right? Magic♪piano 23:38, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
When the house was built edit
I can't tell from NRHP source when the house was actually built. I was trying the verify 1921 as the year, but couldn't find it. Can anyone help me here? Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 17:17, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
- It was presumably built sometime between the Lincoln Institute's founding (opened 1912), but the NRHP docs don't say. The 1921 start date is Young Jr.'s birth year; a detailed report in the NARA version of the NHL nomination (warning large PDF with much more than the nomination) says the Youngs moved in shortly before he was born.
