The various branches of the Club were founded at different times, to meet the needs of members who did not wish to travel so far to activities as Perth grew larger. For instance, the Darling Range branch had its inaugural meeting in the eastern suburbs of Perth on May 10, 1974 but now meets at the Kalamunda Community Centre. The Kwinana-Rockingham-Mandurah branch, which meets at Naragebup in Rockingham in Perth’s southern suburbs, formed in 1980 and the Northern Suburbs branch formed in 1985 and meets at the Henderson Environment Centre.
