Copyright edit

This is not a copyright infringement because that it dosen't say the copyright. Going to remove template. ~~EBE123~~ talkContribs 19:47, 25 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Copyright exists independent of it's assertion. I have re-added the copyright warning. Stuartyeates (talk) 22:21, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Checked copyright infringement, does not copy content from http://www.opus.co.nz/news/opus_in_the_news/media_release_opus_share_offer_registered/ only uses similar unavoidable phrasing. Warning seems to be an error, please remove. (talk) 11:58, 1 June 2011
I'm sorry, but the page history clearly shows that material was copied and that your account was the copier. Stuartyeates (talk) 03:11, 1 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Requested move 11 October 2019 edit

discussion moved from Talk:Opus International Consultants Limited

Opus International Consultants LimitedWSP in New Zealand – Company Name Change CBrigden (talk) 21:03, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 20:50, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Anthony Appleyard and Huon: Page has been moved to more appropriate name of WSP New Zealand, the company's current (new) trading name (it was WSP Opus until earlier this month). Sorry to go across process, but I didn't realise a move request had been put in until after I moved the page, as the move request was on a talk redirect page rather than the active talk page. Grutness...wha? 13:31, 14 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

PS - CBrigden has been blocked (not by me) for undeclared paid editing. Grutness...wha? 13:40, 14 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Ad-y edit

Sounds ad-y but I won't alert this article because the language seems still completely practical. Someone could fix the phrasing throughout the article if they want. Jordf32123 (talk) 05:09, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

– These two companies were acquired by WSP Global (in 2017 and 2014, respectively), are no longer independent entities, and should be thought of in the past tense. Post-merger history can be detailed at the main WSP Global article. 162 etc. (talk) 21:27, 8 May 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. EggRoll97 (talk) 22:21, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oppose In New Zealand, the company is known as WSP. End of story. That’s it’s common name. Schwede66 09:57, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
WSP is known as WSP in all countries, not only in New Zealand. Having pages related to specific countries causes confusion because it looks like these are separate companies, while they are not. Moreover, the story of the company is the same after the companies were acquired, I am not sure what type of information a specific "WSP in the New Zealand" would have. MC-WSP (talk) 15:21, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Opus International Consultants simply does not exist, and hasn't for many year. Thus, it's not a suitable article title. Schwede66 07:55, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
As I understand the proposal from the Editor is to have this as a historical article, and in the past tense. From what I found it is possible to have articles about defunct companies as per these categories
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Defunct_companies_of_the_United_States
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Defunct_companies_of_New_Zealand
Please consider these are not separate entities and multiple pages of the same company only causes confusion, there is no notability for country branches of the company to create separate different articles in my view. See WSP:COMPANY
Thank you for your time! MC-WSP (talk) 12:36, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
