I was told by station management that the call letters will not formally be changed until the week after the change was made here, so someone jumped the gun. Nitelinger (talk) 15:35, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Channel swap edit

Both WBME-TV (49) and WMLW-CA (41) swapped channel positions on Tuesday August 9. As of now, the call sign change has yet to show on the FCC's web site. The on-screen guide, and some of the automated online programming guides, show the stations as WBME-CD (41) and WMLW-DT (49). But my personal rule (and I'm sure what Wikipedia prefers) is not to redirect the pages or insert the new call sign until it shows up on the FCC's website, for official verification purposes. Until then, the pages in this regard should stay as-is. --Fightingirish (talk) 11:00, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Support Exactly what I'm waiting for too; I don't move a page until the FCC pages reflect the callsign change. Anyways I'm seeing that WMLW is identifying as WMLW 49.1 Racine/Milwaukee, while WBME's automation still has it showing a 49.1 station ID. Nate (chatter) 13:21, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

No longer in HD? edit

Mrschimpf: "WMLW's main signal has been downgraded to 480i" Is it still in HD on cable? Mvcg66b3r (talk) 01:43, 9 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

That's how I'm seeing it on Spectrum in 480i SD; according to the JS article there's an SD simulcast on WDJT-DT3, so that might be what I'm seeing. I'm trying to confirm it through a visible station ID. Nate (chatter) 02:03, 9 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Confirmed; I am seeing the WDJT-DT3 simulcast for now (Spectrum seemed completely unprepared for the move this morning and had to scramble; I'm still getting WCGV where Comet usually is, for instance, and for some reason, MeTV, which had ZERO changes, is carrying WMVS, plus the 63.2 This move was completely unannounced; Tribune must've found a way to hold Weigel to their contract). Hopefully all will be back to normal soon. Nate (chatter) 03:08, 9 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
