Vsevolod Sergeyevich Knyazev → Vsevolod Serhiyovych Knyazyev – The current page name is completely incorrect. His native name is Всеволод Сергійович Князєв, which doubtlessly latinizating as Vsevolod Serhiyovych Knyazyev. The current name is used the Russian re-transliterating of Ukrainian name. However, this man isn't Russian a had never any relations with Russia or Russians, so, I guess, that the page should be moved without redirect. 46.39.51.227 (talk) 11:09, 28 October 2021 (UTC)

Not a Ukrainian speaker, but if I'm reading this right at Wikipedia:Romanization of Ukrainian/Ukrainian National transliteration table, the name should acutally be Vsevolod Serhiiovych Kniaziev. Of course, if there are English-language reliable sources that use a differently-transliterated name, we should use that. 162 etc. (talk) 01:32, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

The nomination is indeed proposing a transliteration form different from the one in standard use as indicated in Wikipedia:Romanization of Ukrainian/Ukrainian National transliteration table. The properly transliterated form appears here. I would therefore revise my above vote to support the form Vsevolod Sergeyevich Knyazev → Vsevolod Serhiiovych Kniaziev, as pointed out by 162 etc. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 18:24, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

That's not the only thing nom has wrong. Proposing that the redirect should be suppressed shows no understanding of the issues and suggests a POV. But I see there are no other contributions from this IP, so we should not bite. Andrewa (talk) 14:01, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

• Move to Vsevolod Kniaziev. This is a little-mentioned subject in English-language media, to date. I found five unique sources, two in 2020 with Knyazev,[1][2] two last week with Kniazev,[3][4] one with Kniaziev[5] (and a syndicated copy),[6] but none with the patronymic Serhiiovych. Unless we find evidence for a single WP:COMMONNAME, we should fall back to the standard romanization per WP:UKR, which is Kniaziev; note є, ie, not е, e, in the last syllable. —Michael Z. 20:28, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

Found a collection of his papers, mostly in Ukrainian, but some with English citations or abstracts.[7] looked at a bunch and found one with Knyazev and about five with Kniaziev. —Michael Z. 17:25, 30 October 2021 (UTC)

Ukrainian Supreme Court’s website[8] uses (according to its site search) Kniazev on 1 page, Knyazev 3, Kniaziev 12 including in the latest news.[9] —Michael Z. 17:33, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
