Talk:Volunteers (Jefferson Airplane album)

That sounds like a dubious origin of the lyrics to We Can Be Together. Pretty sure they were all written by Paul Kantner, and he said he got the "Up against the Wall, Motherfucker" line from the Black Panthers. JoeD80 (talk) 01:08, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Piano on "The Farm"

edit

OK, there are piano credits on every song *except* there isn't any credit for the piano playing on "The Farm." Does anyone know what the credit is? Is it actually Paul playing? I had read an interview that said he played piano on some of the studio stuff when they started recording at Wally Heider's. I don't know if he was talking about this song or not, but he is the credited writer for the music...so is the piano on "The Farm" Grace, Nicky, or Paul? Anyone know? Citation needed??

edit

Why is there a citation needed tag placed in the sentence dealing with the controversial nature and profanity on the album? Looking back at the time of it's release - late Vietnam War - and listening to the obvious use of profanity and anti-war sentiment what more does one require? Thoughts?THX1136 (talk) 17:44, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
