Besides the three unsuccessful runs for Seattle Mayor I mentioned in the article, I believe he also ran in 1934. The Argus for February 3, 1934 stated that he had "filed for the nomination for mayor". It also contains a paragraph I like enough that I'm quoting it in full here:
Vic Meyers is one of the Times' jokes that sort of backfired. That paper is responsible for placing the political bee in his bonnet. And now we have the remote possibility—but a possibility, nevertheless—of this night club musician becoming mayor of Seattle. At any rate it looks as though Vic will be cluttering up the ballots for some years to come.
