"Non-notable point with a rock on it in Antarctica, supplied by the 'Antarctic Place-names Commission of Bulgaria'. Also unreferenced."

(1) The article IS referenced. Sources given: (a) the SCAR Composite Antarctic Gazetteer; and (b) Antarctic Place-names Commission of Bulgaria. A Google search would provide links to the respective websites corroborating the article's substance;

(2) This article has been tagged for wikification. It belongs to a group of articles presently being wikified by Kcordina; in the process, reference links to both (a) and (b) are appended, as well as the link to a third source (c), the electronic version of a published map showing this particular feature;

(3) Antarctic geographical features that have official names can hardly be regarded as 'non-notable'. Place naming policies for Antarctica are fairly conservative, names are given to features ranked as if "of national significance" and correspondingly formally approved by ministers of inferior, inter-ministerial bodies or other similar authorities (in the case of Bulgaria it's the President of the Republic). SCAR Antarctic Gazetteer references edit

SCAR site has moved here, maybe Vazov Point and Vazov Rock are good candidates for external links. Doncho Nicolaev Gunchev 23:42, 28 June 2009 (UTC) mr700

Yes you are right, the SCAR Gazetteer is now hosted by the Australian Antarctic Division, and it would be nice to have that updated everywhere. Furthermore, it would be even better if links to the individual gazetteer entries were given as you suggest for these two particular features. Apcbg (talk) 10:50, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
