Move lists to separate pages?

Some highlighted releases are nice, but I don't believe a large discography really suits the article. Could the lists be moved to their own pages, linked to here? Zephyrad 13:20, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

I see someone else took action via tag. Thank you... Zephyrad 23:27, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Varese article & Discographies should remain as a single entity

It may make sense to divide up the page into a whole bunch of little pages and one big page, as the MAIN section is still very long, but I feel dividing this page is unnecessary as all important discography info regarding the Varese Sarabande's prolific release history is contained right here on this page for those who want it. Making more individual titles into clickable links like CHERRY 2000 is, is a must, but also a lot of work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DeviantMan (talkcontribs)

I wholeheartedly disagree. A list of products produced by any company is not notable. I have removed them per earlier reasoning by User:Scientizzle-RunningOnBrains 18:08, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Varese Colossal.jpg

Image:Varese Colossal.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Criticisms section

My feeling is that we should leave this off unless somebody can cite an article or proof of issues with the GI Joe recording. Placing this section onto the page makes it out of place and without citations from professional engineers or the artists involved seems to be an opinion and not a fact. If the posters have issues with that specific recording maybe they should post the criticism onto the GI Joe movie page? Checking around the net it seems maybe 10 people made a point about this and it's all subjective at best. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spellchecker123 (talkcontribs) 23:02, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

PolyGram's catalog numbering system

Is there any article on this? I can find one on numbering systems for singles, but nothing on this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.252.175.220 (talk) 01:43, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

The "main series" catalog numbers

VSD- was used only for CD releases. VSC- was used for cassette releases; the text currently reads as though VSD- was simply used for everything. Additionally, they long ago phased out the VSD- scheme. Every release between VSD-5201 and VSD-6199 received both a 302 06x xxx 2 and a VSD-xxxx catalog number. The xxxx is the same in both catalog numbers. Releases between VSD-6200/302 066 200 2 and VSD-6499/302 066 499 2 always received a 302 06x xxx 2 catalog number, but only some were also assigned a VSD-6xxx number. Releases after 302 066 500 2 were only assigned a 302 06x xxx 2 catalog number. No release after 302 066 500 2 ought to have a VSD-xxxx number listed. Minimally, this makes every single cat # listed from VSD-6500 to the end of the list incorrent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.252.175.220 (talk) 01:57, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Varese Sarabande ownership comment

Varese Sarabande is not owned by Universal Music Group. They are a distributed "associated label". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.43.1.47 (talk) 17:53, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
