This is a good page but there should be more info about the schools history and pages about other schools in marion county florida!
I deleted the trivia section. One fact was just a statistic, the other was the soft drink vendor. Shicoco (talk) 02:33, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Integration edit
I removed a section as it seemed to suggest (by breaking the fourth wall) that there was original research. If sources can be found, the informations should be reintroduced in a NPOV manner.
" Vanguard's first year opened to a small amount of race riots. Other historical documents will state that the school opened with "no incidents" but former students of that time period disagree. (author of this edit included) Several riots occurred, including one major riot, causing several severe injuries. Police arrived on campus and order was quickly restored. Police presence remained on campus for several months maintain order, (the 1970-71 yearbook will show numerous police cruisers in the aerial photographs) and Vanguard's first year ended with a peaceful stance.
