Malayalam without Tamil and Sanskrit, huh? edit

> The Malayalam used is deviod of Tamil and Sanskrit, thus is probably closest of spoken idiom.

lets take "Vadakkan Pattukal". isn't it tamil ?!

vadakku - north

pattukal - songs

paa / paattu - song

lets take Malayalam, "Malai" is tamil, "aalam" is tamil. :)

If you can give me 10 (TEN) Malayalam words that are neither tamil not Sanskrit, than I will store them into my memory. --V4vijayakumar (talk) 16:39, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You will definitely get more than ten in this link

The language of North Malabar, and South Malabar was not really Malayalam. However with the spread of Malayalam brought by the Christian folks from Travancore who sponsored Malayalam education, the local Malalabar language died. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.214.26.99 (talk) 13:09, 24 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

First of all...The point of here by meaning "Malayalam used devoid of Tamil and Sanskrit" means that the Language of Vadakkan Pattukal is Malayalam and not Tamil or Sanskrit. It doea not says that Malayalam language there without Old Tamil or Sanskrit. What your argument implies is that "Malayalam Language is devoid of Tamil (Kodun Tamil) and Sanskrit".Your argument has no point since you did not even understand the argument. Before getting emotional by seeing an argument you better try to understand what it really means.Your Linguistic Chauvanism wont help you.

Both are short articles. Imho, should be merged for now into Vadakkan Pattukal. gidonb (talk) 00:00, 11 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Support, through I'll note they could be notable - but I cannot find any references to support that, at least online and in English. Also keep in mind that we should only be merging referenced content (WP:V). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:52, 11 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
