Lack of info on Early Life

This article would be highly suitable for a Milhist A-Class Review nomination, if only some more information was available on his early life. At present it is too sparse to be acceptable at ACR. Peacemaker67 (crack... thump) 23:08, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

I've improved it a bit. What do you think? 23 editor (talk) 00:17, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
Significant improvement, but I think something about his parents or siblings is needed to get it over the line. Peacemaker67 (crack... thump) 00:24, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
The article also requires more info on his activities from 1943 to 1944. My guess is Tomasevich, Pavlowitch and Milazzo have a great deal to say about that period, though I don't have full access to the latter two. 23 editor (talk) 00:36, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
I'll have to check Hoare as well. Peacemaker67 (crack... thump) 00:44, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Kozara Offensive?

The infobox says that he participated in the Kozara Offensive. No source is given for this assertion. This article does not mention what he did in June and August 1942, during this offensive. The article about offensive does not mention him. Is this assertion factually accurate? Good point, removed. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 07:21, 24 June 2017 (UTC)

Sources

If this is going to pass FAC we're going to need better sources. Both BN Televizija and Alternativna TV are SDS mouthpieces and don't qualify as WP:RS, IMO. Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 15:24, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

We're not using them for anything controversial AB, just the facts that the events occurred, RS officials didn't attend, and that he is considered a vojvoda. Sure, their commentary is a bit sharp, but we are not including any of that. Sources need to be RS for the context, and for things like this, the sources really don't need to be WaPo or NYT. I'm open to replacing them, but I don't think they have to be. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 20:58, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
The vojvoda part is easily replaceable with academic references in Serbo-Croatian, so that part shouldn't be a problem. Again, citing the mouthpieces of a party whose officials have been convicted of war crimes, and in some cases genocide, is definitely not a good look, especially for an FA. But having scoured the internet for alternative sources about Drenović's burial arrangements and found almost nothing, I'm starting to see why you're hesitant to do away with these. They appear to be the only sources on the internet (in any language) that make any mention of Drenović's grave and the annual ceremonies around it. So, I'm open to leaving one of them in the article. At this point, that would seem to be ATV, since it goes into more detail than BN Televizija. Your thoughts? Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk)
Given they are providing basic facts about commemorations of a person from their own ethnic group (Serbs of BH) and (in general terms) have a similar political persuasion to him (Serb right-wing), I don't really see the problem here. If they were aligned with a leftist Bosniak party and were partisan against Serbs in BH I would see your point. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 22:07, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

WP:MOSETHNICITY

Why is he described as 'Bosnian Serb' in the lede? GiantSnowman 17:42, 27 April 2022 (UTC)

G'day GiantSnowman. The "Bosnian" bit is the region where he became notable per MOS:CONTEXTBIO, the "Serb" bit is relevant to Drenović's notability as a Chetnik leader, which is specifically mentioned in MOS:ETHNICITY. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 02:38, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
I think nationality should be included only in the opening line, and mention the Bosnian aspect later. GiantSnowman 18:30, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
I disagree, it is fundamental to the man and his notability. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 01:22, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
