Origin of the name "Suitcase City" edit

Does anyone know the real origin of the name "Suitcase City"? I'm not convinced by the story currently on the page. For one thing, lawyers carry briefcases, not suitcases. For another, I had always heard that the name referred to the fact that the area was home to a lot of transients and had a high eviction rate, hence people there "lived out of suitcases". Of course, I haven't seen citations for either account, so it may be best simply to leave out all speculation about the origin of the name. --Cholling (talk) 15:34, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
