A short critique of the page

edit

The UCAN Wikipedia page essentially follows the five pillars of Wikipedia. It explains the organization, gives a neutral, unbiased point of view, and follows the loose rules of Wikipedia. The problems with the page stem from updating it. There is not a link to the UCAN webpage or to some of the many news articles associated with UCAN. Updates about the spay/neuter clinic would be interesting s that is a major part of the organization. Also sources for the information given (possibly a link to the UCAN website “about” page) are necessary for the integrity of the page. Wismanjd (talk) 13:28, 22 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

The lack of interest in the page is a concern. I visited the UCAN website (www.ucancincinnati.org) and the organization seems very active, but there is very little activity on the Wikipedia page. The page does a fine job of explaining the organization and telling its short history, but no one is talking about it or updating it. There are events all the time and there could also be an update of how many spays and neuters are being done, how much money was raised at events, interesting saves, etc. The page could benefit from explaining the “fair use rationale” and posting the logo to clean it up a bit. It could also add some links to organizations with which they associate and ask to be linked from other sites.Shaina5797 (talk) 17:00, 22 July 2013 (UTC)is a new user.Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:UCAN Logo.jpg

edit

Image:UCAN Logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
