merger proposal edit

oppose merge. i can understand the basis for the proposal, but this topic really has a lot of expansion room to treat the medieval notion of undercroft. it s on my personal list for expansion even though i may not get to it for months. i have some decent photos and many examples of early architecture to discuss. regards Anlace 00:57, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oppose. This article is about medieval undercrofts, rather than modern basements. Sprinkles 15:48, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oppose. User:Sprinkles has said it all. Verica Atrebatum 22:05, 8 December 2006 (UTC) Oppose. The notion of an undercroft and a basement in engineering terms is not the same.Reply

Does an undercroft overlap with a crypt in some ways? Perhaps some knowledgeable person could make the distinction clear.Campolongo (talk) 09:36, 6 January 2010 (UTC) I mean structurally.Reply

Airport edit

An undercroft is also referred to as the baggage room where all the bags are sorted into dolly’s or ULD’s where they are taken into the aircraft or offloaded. It’s usually underneath the airport terminal and is restricted to certain employees only. 2A02:6B61:BAD6:0:BD17:8F4F:4343:F335 (talk) 19:48, 26 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
