Is the bridge really under construction? When i visited there about ten years ago, the local students said it had been abandoned.

Arsenal at Ulyanovsk?

There is also a Soviet-era military arsenal at Ulyanovsk, currently producing small arms ammunition for export. Currently they export 7.62x39mm and 5.45x39mm rifle ammunition to the US in 20-round paper boxes printed with a camouflage pattern and the current importer to the US, as of late 2007, is "Wolf Ammunition" (previously it was "Sapsan" brand). The Ulyanovsk plant has relatively new tooling, and Ulyanovsk ammunition is regarded as being much higher quality than Tula ("Wolf" in black boxes) and equivalent to Barnaul ("Brown Bear"), though not quite as good as Vympel ("Golden Tiger" brand). Education?

The only university mentioned is USU.

I haven't been to Ulyanovsk since 1999, but back then there were at least two other noteworthy higher education institutions, the Polytechnical and the Pedagogical universities. Did something happen to them, were they closed / absorbed into USU, or is it simply that no one bothered to include them in the article? --Itinerant1 (talk) 09:39, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

This is the English Wikipedia

No offence intended, but the English used in this article is so bad that it is impossible to understand. As the language is so bad that it's not possible to understand what the authors have meant, it's not possible to correct it. Perhaps some Russian editor with a fluent command of English could have a look at the Russian site and use it as a basis for correcting the language here.JdeJ (talk) 08:07, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Firsthand Account

I was in Ulyanovsk yesterday and have many pictures of several statues and historical sites (including Lenins House). I also have pictures overlooking the Volga River and the bridge. To answer the other posters question the second bridge is still under construction I also have a picture of that one but it is far off in the distance. I usually only comment on articles that I am very familiar with but I don't have good experience/skills editing wikipedia pages so I was wondering if somebody could help me.
