My first page edit

This is my first page and Talk.

I've made a simple page aobut UltraDefrag based on information found on the official web page and I also read the Softpedia review for corroboration. The main reason I made the page is that I found it annoying to have to google a program mentioned in another article.

I haven't used UltraDefrag myself so I can't comment on the speed and effectiveness of the program, but it was one of just two open source defraggers for windows that I've found, and as such I felt it warranted a page. Rimefrost (talk)

UltraDefrag has an excellent boot-time defrag capability, and I use it on a Windows 2000 server, as well as on several WinXP workstations. I use JkDefrag for defragmenting the drive manually, since I feel it is faster and more visual than UltraDefrag, but that is just a personal preference. NPOV + Copyright edit

the features list has obviously been copied from here. as a result of this, the tone in which the features are described is very positive. might also be a problem with copyright, as the handbook page i linked doesnt say anything about how it is licensed, apart from the program itself being under gnu gpl. i added the ad template. 84.168.115.60 (talk) 14:35, 12 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why has someone put the word SPYWARE on the page? edit

The word "SPYWARE" has been added in capitals to the page and there is a comment about this being malware.

However, I can find no reference to this on any search - should this comment be removed? It is from an anonymous contributor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jsanglier (talkcontribs) 23:55, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Done It was just vandalism and has been removed. – voidxor (talk | contrib) 18:07, 11 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

sourceforge page down or gone? edit

Tried to update manually, but got "Error 503 Service Unavailable" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.106.193.82 (talk) 16:57, 10 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Error 503 is a server-side issue, which appears to have been fixed. – voidxor (talk | contrib) 17:40, 11 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Not open source anymore edit

The new version 8 of UltraDefrag is under a proprietary license. https://ultradefrag.net/en/index.shtml?download

So there is a version 8 that is proprietary and an open-souce version 7. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.62.84.68 (talk) 09:05, 29 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
